Monstera propagation (another post about my plants)

Some of you may be familiar with my big monstera plant. I've had it for about five years and it is absolutely huge. Or, it WAS absolutely huge. After we moved (back in May,) it sustained some damage to several leaves and came down with a bad case of scale. The infestation was so bad that I had to remove more leaves, as well as some stem sections, then propagate and re-plant the healthier sections. It seems to be working more less OK, and I'm hoping to get all the sections in the same pot, eventually. I would like to end up with another very large plant, but with more vines instead of just the one.

It’s been about two weeks, and I’ve been monitoring everything closely and removing all the scale insects I find, as well as treating everything with neem oil spray. Everything seems to be ok! A few stem sections rotted and had to be thrown out, and three more are looking iffy. But one stem section is doing great! And the main plant and the other large piece that I have planted in soil are also thriving. I will keep updating as things progress…
